You Can Find Some Of The Most Popular Beloved Animated Characters On A Southern California Vacation
March 17th, 2010I have been to several of the world-class theme parks in Southern California lately. If you would like to see some of the beloved animated movie and TV characters “live” these parks are the place for you.
Of course Disneyland is the first park that comes to mind, with Dumbo, Mickey, Goofy and the others. For great local insight and tips for planning a Disneyland vacation, the SoCal Vacation Guru is the site for you. Who doesn’t love the wonderful job Disney has done in creating a fictional universe of lovable characters?
A few miles down the road at Knott’s Berry Farm you’ll find all the Peanuts gang at Camp Snoopy. Knott’s has done a nice job of absorbing Charlie Brown, his faithful pet and their friends into their culture.
Your next stop would be Universal Studios Hollywood and the many TV and movie stars such as Betty Boop, the Hulk, Batman and Spiderman, joined most recently by Homer Simpson and his wonderful family. The SoCal Vacation Guru has a lot of information to help you visit your favorite Universal Studios characters.
Lastly, we drive up north a ways and stop at Six Flags Magic Mountain. The first thing you see when you get close to the park are the Six Flags roller coasters. As soon as you get inside, you realize that the place is run by the Looney Tunes characters from the Warner Brothers cartoons.
Here and there around the park you will find some of your favorites, like Daffy, Bugs Bunny and Yosemite Sam. There’s a nice area just for small children; the park management has figured out that not everyone is a teen-age or twenty- something thrill ride fanatic. It is fun for kids and adults alike to meet these well-behaved celebrities, and you can find them at various spots on the Mountain.
